Dara Phung

Bio

Dara is a collaborative pianist and music director based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She started piano lessons at age five with Sumi Nagasawa and went on to earn her BA in music from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Kevin Fitz-Gerald. She currently serves as the music director at Noe Valley Ministry in San Francisco and was previously the accompanist for
Woodside Priory Chapel in Portola Valley, Culver Palms United Methodist Church in Culver City, and Unity Lutheran Church in South San Francisco.

Dara accompanies Murphy Music Camp’s Voicebox Choir in San Carlos and has accompanied the Stanford Jazz Workshop’s summer vocal program. She has also worked on a number of Bay Area musical theater productions with the Redwood City Community Theater, Foothill Music Theater, and Hillbarn Theater.
